Flat Earth Computer Games - Free Cell
Free Cell is a Solitaire game that came with Windows packages. It has become a basic
solitaire game because it's game numbering system can be shared with others.
This allows the recording of unique "very difficult" game numbers and their subsequent
conquering by determined FREECELLERS with
nothing better to do with their time!!!!!
Windows XP brings with it games numbered up to 1,000,000 !!!!!!!
Collective wisdom is that the only unsolvable
game in the series of games from 1 to 32000 is number 11982. I have not yet heard of anything between 32001 and 1,000,000.
You can beat 11982 with an Easter Egg - and any other game too. Just hold down
CTRL, SHIFT and F10. You will be presented with some options which you can choose.
Choose Abort to Win, make any move and you will see the result!!!
Check your statistics to see what the effect is on them.
For technical and detailed information about Free Cell, please check out the "URL" at the
bottom of the page. There is also a good program to record moves and help you with solving
a particular game (because it allows multiple "Undos"). It is a freebee and can be found at
this site
Current list of VERY DIFFICULT Free Cell games. (Click numbers for discoverer.)
This list of numbers has been gathered by a large number of people who have expressed interest in this page and have found
them to be somewhat tough to solve.
The list is provided to offer you a challenge.
As all games appear to be solveable - except 11982!! - you may stumble on the solution early and wonder why the game is here. Suffice to say
someone found it difficult.
Generally, if you take more than four tries to solve a particular game, it is considered difficult and
you are invited to E-mail me the game number for inclusion. If I hear from
"sufficient numbers" of people (my definition of sufficient!!) that a game in this list is too easy - it gets removed!!!!!
The purpose of the list is to provide you with some challenges as most Free Cell games can be solved with just one try.
